“One day I had to update 8 of our IIS servers with a hotfix. I remotely connected to each machine and had to manually run the hotfix. Before running the fix I wanted a simple way to check how many people were are the current web server. Instead of going to the performance monitor / then adding the current users I decided to create a little application that would show me who was connected. And IIS Reporter was born"
Over time it has migrated from “gotdotnet.com” to SourceForge (now Github) and is now being closed source (back to open source). I will still send out the old version of the source to anyone interested. I will continue to have a free version.
Currently, this project is sunset. I still have people contact me who use this and ask for features. I have compiled a few custom versions over the years. If you have features or ideas send me a note.
